Basic Openwater Scuba Diver Course

Yearning to be a diver and experience the freedom under the surface of the sea? It’s an experience you’ll never forget!! Ditch those landlubber days as we take out out to sea for an adventure you’ll never regret ! NUS Dive Club stresses the importance of diving education through thorough theory and pool lessons and not the promise of a dive card (license) just because one joined and paid for the course. An educated diver with knowledge of the function of its equipment, the hazard of the underwater environment, how pressure affects our body and safe diving practices is a safe diver. NUS Dive Club also emphasizes medical fitness for diving. Medical examination is strongly encouraged for new divers to be assessed for contraindications to diving, e.g. heart and lung diseases, active or history of asthma, diabetes, and TB. Should you have any of the above mentioned, or have a condition you suspect might pose a threat to your personal safety in diving, let us know and we may be able to arrange a consultation with a diving physician for you. Remember, Your safety is always Number One!

NUS Dive Club Basic Openwater Student package (Trip to Pulau Aur)

Our Student Package includes:
- original Basic Openwater Diver Manual
- full accommodation and meals at the island resort
- equipment rental
- land and sea transfers.

Our price for NUS students: approx SGD450.00 (price to be confirmed before each trip)

Requirements:

1. Be medically fit. If in doubt, students are recommended to visit the Yusof Ishak House University Wellness Centre to get a medical checkup prior to signup.
2. Pass the theory test.
3. Complete the swim test. The swim test requirements are as follows:
   • Swim 200 metres (any style) at your own pace
   • Tread water for 10 minutes

Advanced Openwater Scuba Diver Course

Already in love with diving after taking the Basic Openwater Course and ready to advance your diving education? Look no further, the Advanced Openwater Diver Course is just what you need!!  Enter a whole new world with night diving specialty, be more confident as we take you to greater depths with the Deep Diver specialty and feel like a spaceman as we fine- tune your buoyancy skills with the Peak Performance Buoyancy Specialty.
